That was the word, V.J.”s XV was going to be a true Barbarian side and play Festival Rugby! Both teams agreed to the stakes, and a very knowledgeable crowd were treated to a real flowing, fast, hard, clean and highly enjoyable romp. The only thing that was soggy was the ground, other wise both sides were crisp, focused and put on a show for a good crowd at Greenway Park. Great tries by breakout backs and driving from forward play in phase on phase of ball. Great to see players from all clubs shine, led by Rob Brouwer of Lindsay the Barbs won 24 – 12. At the dinner after the match, all three clubs liked the idea of doing this again next year. Meanwhile gloves are back off for Lindsay vs Pagans next Saturday May 24th At Nicholls Oval Park.
